KITCHENER, Ontario – October 30, 2014 – Vidyard co-founders Michael Litt and Devon Galloway were named EY’s Entrepreneur Of The Year Ontario Young Entrepreneur award winners at the annual gala held in Toronto, Canada.
Litt and Galloway were recognized for their success in building Vidyard into a leading provider of video marketing solutions, as well as their tireless efforts to support startups and the greater entrepreneur community within Canada.
EY partnered with the World Economic Forum on a recent report, The Bold Ones: high-impact entrepreneurs who transform industries, to uncover the qualities that define high-impact entrepreneurs. The report found that high-impact entrepreneurs not only disrupt industry through innovative products and services, they also make a measurable difference on society.
“In addition to establishing Vidyard as a leading video marketing platform, Michael and Devon are working hard to support other young entrepreneurs in the Kitchener-Waterloo region by providing resources and mentorship,” said Colleen McMorrow, EY Entrepreneur Of The Year National and Ontario Program Director. “These actions show true leadership and community spirit, and they are especially exciting to see from our young entrepreneurs.”
Since starting Vidyard as a university project, Litt and Galloway have innovated on their original idea to make the company a top provider of video marketing, video analytics and video management solutions that help small businesses, large enterprises and Fortune 1000 companies maximize the impact of online video. Under their leadership, Vidyard has seen exponential year-over-year growth since 2010 and has recently opened its first international office in Dublin, Ireland, to support its growing demand.
“This award is a great honor because it recognizes not only the work we’ve done to build Vidyard as a company, but also what we’ve done for our fellow entrepreneurs in the region,” Litt said. “Ontario is an incredible region for technology entrepreneurs and we’re proud to be a part of it and to be recognized by Ernst and Young for our efforts.”
