GoVideo brings the power of video to all

Overcoming the cost and complexity of video, GoVideo lets anyone record, send and track videos from their Chrome browser – for free

KITCHENER,Ontario – October 11, 2016 – Vidyard, the leading video platform for business, today launched GoVideo, a free tool that gives anyone the ability to create, send and track video right from their web browser. Fromwww.vidyard.com/govideo and through a Google Chrome extension, GoVideo offers one-click screen recording, email and social sharing along with notifications when videos have been viewed.

Fast, easy screen recording will help people communicate in a clear, authentic, personal way – without struggling with expensive desktop-based screen recording software. For example:

  • Sales reps can record product demonstrations and personalized prospecting videos
  • Marketers can record presentations and training content
  • Support reps can record custom product tutorials and how-to videos
  • Executives and managers can capture employee communications and updates
  • Designers and developers can show and explain what they’ve created

With billions of videos viewed online each day, video is changing the way businesses communicate with prospects, customers and employees. Until now, the high cost of video creation along with the time and equipment needed to create content has kept many people from using video in day-to-day communications. With GoVideo, anyone with a story to share and a browser can quickly create, send and track videos.

“We’re making it easy for anyone to communicate with the power of video,” said Michael Litt, CEO and co-founder of Vidyard. “We are tearing down the barriers that have kept people from using video and making it simple to create, share and track video playback without the need for expensive software or video editing experience.”

GoVide is a lightweight Google Chrome extension that enables users to record a browser tab or their entire screen along with their webcam and microphone – all with a single click of the mouse. Instead of pasting a hyperlink to a video into an email, with GoVideo, a clickable thumbnail image is added to the message, creating a more compelling call to action that encourages people to press play. Users can also track each video and keep an eye on who is watching in the GoVideo Feed and through email notifications.

“Beyond helping businesses have authentic conversations with prospects, customers and employees, video provides valuable digital body language,” Litt said. “As soon as someone watches your video, you’re notified who it was, what they watched and how much they viewed so you can strike while the iron is hot with a relevant follow-up message.”

GoVideo is available starting today for free. Download GoVideo and watch a demo video at www.vidyard.com/govideo
