Remember back in high school when you had to do fitness tests?
Oh boy, the worst one was the beep test. I remember running to the next painted line as fast as I possibly could while simultaneously trying to remember to breathe …. or remember why I was doing this in the first place.
When I finally did miss the line before the next beep, my legs would instantly forget their purpose in life and I’d end in a puddle on the gymnasium floor.
Whyyyy did they do this to us?
In retrospect, it was for our own good. These fitness tests gave us a benchmark to measure ourselves against. If you know where you are now, you can measure how far you’ve come in 1 month, 6 months, 1 year, etc.
You know what I’m going to say next, don’t you?
Yep. The same goes for marketing.
